January 2026 Gospel Mission Update
During the month of January 2026, the Lord graciously opened many doors for us to share the Gospel through the mission He has entrusted to us. Through evangelism and outreach efforts, 5,903 people heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.
By God’s grace, 469 individuals made the decision to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We are deeply thankful for the work the Holy Spirit is doing in the hearts of those who heard the message.
In addition, 148 believers who had previously received follow up discipleship and baptism teaching were baptized, publicly declaring their faith in Christ.
We are continuing to walk alongside many new believers. Currently, 1,476 people are receiving ongoing follow up and discipleship as we encourage them to grow in their relationship with the Lord.
We praise God for the lives being changed and ask you to continue praying for these new believers as they grow in faith and become strong disciples of Jesus Christ.

Leadership Training and Ministry Development
During our evangelistic activities in January, training was provided to pastors, ministers, and church leaders serving in The Fellowship Church local churches across various regions of the country.
Special leadership training was also conducted in Yabelo and Moyale, where evangelism festivals are planned for 2026. These trainings focused on equipping leaders in evangelism, discipleship, and church ministry.
In total, 3,854 leaders and ministers from local churches participated in training, strengthening the church’s ability to continue reaching their communities with the Gospel.
Special Event
Strategic Evangelism and Leadership Empowerment
The 2026 Yabelo Gospel Festival
The Borena Zone experienced a powerful spiritual movement during the Yabelo Gospel Festival, a mission designed with two clear purposes: strengthening church leadership and expanding the Kingdom of God through intentional evangelism.
Leadership Development
A key focus of the festival was equipping ministry leaders. 3,500 pastors, evangelists, and church leaders participated in specialized training designed to strengthen their leadership and increase the effectiveness of their ministry.
Evangelistic Reach and Spiritual Harvest
During the festival, 13,458 people who had not previously heard the Gospel were reached with the message of Jesus Christ. The Lord moved in a powerful way, and 2,115 individuals publicly confessed their faith in Jesus Christ.
The ministry of healing was also evident during the event. 450 individuals testified that they experienced healing and deliverance from physical illness and spiritual oppression.
Community Outreach
Leading up to the festival, ministry teams intentionally reached into the surrounding community. Outreach teams visited local correctional facilities, shared the Gospel with women involved in the commercial sex trade, and ministered to individuals living on the streets.
The ministry also established meaningful connections with local government leaders, helping build partnerships that allow the Gospel to continue impacting the community in lasting ways.
Prayer Requests
The Harvest in Yabelo
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Matthew 9:37 to 38
Dear Prayer Partners,
We give all glory to God for the incredible doors He opened during the Yabelo Gospel Festival. As we celebrate the 2,115 people who gave their lives to Christ and the 3,500 leaders who were trained, we also recognize that the important work of discipleship has only just begun.
We invite you to stand with us in prayer for the following needs.
1. Pray for the New Believers
Please pray for the 2,115 individuals who recently committed their lives to Jesus Christ. Many come from backgrounds where choosing to follow Christ may bring opposition or personal challenges.
Pray that they would be deeply rooted and grounded in God’s love and protected from the schemes of the enemy.
Ephesians 3:17
2. Pray for Pastors and Ministry Leaders
The pastors and ministers who received training are now actively following up with these new believers.
Pray that the Lord would give them fresh anointing, wisdom, endurance, and physical strength as they shepherd and disciple the growing church throughout the Borena Zone.
3. Pray for Those Who Experienced Healing and Deliverance
During the festival, 450 people testified to receiving healing and deliverance.
Pray that these healings will be lasting and that their testimonies will become powerful witnesses that draw their families and communities to Christ.
4. Pray for Ongoing Outreach to the Margins of Society
The Gospel was also shared in prisons, among street dwellers, and with women involved in the sex trade.
Pray that the seeds planted would grow and that those who heard the message would find a supportive church family and a path toward a new life in Christ.
5. Pray for Peace and Favor in the Borena Zone
Please pray for the local government officials who were reached during this ministry effort.
Ask the Lord to give them wisdom as they lead their communities, and pray that God will continue to grant peace, openness, and favor for the Gospel throughout the Borena Zone.
Thank you for faithfully standing with us in prayer and partnering with us in the work of the Gospel. Your prayers make an eternal difference.
