June 2026 Gospel Mission Update
By God's grace, June was another fruitful month of ministry as we continued sharing the hope of the Gospel throughout Ethiopia. During the month, we proclaimed the Good News to 4,889 people, and 123 accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We also celebrated the baptism of 41 believers who had completed follow up discipleship and baptism preparation. Please continue praying for the 566 new believers who are currently receiving follow up discipleship as they grow in their faith and walk with Christ.
Foreign Missionaries
Throughout June, our missionaries continued faithfully proclaiming the Gospel across multiple nations and regions.
South Sudan: Missionaries shared the Gospel with 495 people, and 230 accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and were added to the local church.
Middle East: 500 people heard the message of the Gospel.
Egypt: 600 people heard the Gospel, and 12 believers who had previously completed follow up discipleship were baptized.
Sudanese Refugee Communities: 800 people heard the message of the Gospel.
Outreach in Islamic Communities
Through contextual, underground evangelism in predominantly Islamic regions, 4,096 people heard the Gospel, and 111 accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Please pray for the 161 new believers who are currently receiving follow up discipleship as they grow in their faith.
Outreach in Ethiopian Orthodox Communities
By God's grace, our underground evangelism teams reached 4,501 people in Ethiopian Orthodox communities. As a result, 73 people placed their faith in Jesus Christ. We also continue discipling 127 believers who responded during previous outreach efforts, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ.
Training
Equipping church leaders remains a vital part of NLICM's mission. On June 18, 2026, 20 pastors and church leaders from three local churches in Ambo participated in a training focused on church growth and biblical leadership. The training included prayer, discussion, and practical instruction designed to strengthen local ministry.
A second training was held on June 22, 2026, for 15 pastors and ministry leaders serving four local churches in Sheger City, Gefersa Guje Sub City. Together, these gatherings equipped church leaders with biblical principles to help strengthen their churches and faithfully advance the Gospel.

- Pray for the TFC churches in South Sudan as they continue to grow and faithfully proclaim the Gospel.
- Pray that God's transforming power will bring healing and restoration to the people we serve.
- Pray for unity and cooperation among our missionary teams and local churches.
- Pray for wisdom, discernment, and grace as we stand firmly on God's truth and resist false gospels and false teaching.
